Hero's Adventure for Real Estate Agents

5 pages; about 2 - 3 minutes each

Before you continue, I want to respect your time and attention:

  • This is specifically written for solo real estate agents and team leaders. If you work for a team, you’ll still get a lot out of it; just know the content isn’t tailored to your situation.

  • You won’t find get-rich-quick, shiny object, or idea-of-the-day material. But if you’re willing to do the foundational work so you can earn more while working less, read on.

  • Some of the secrets I share fly in the face of “conventional wisdom”. But as you read through it, you will finally realize what the real problem in your business is, and how to fix it. Read with this in mind.

  • Long read (5 pages, about 2 minutes each); you might want to bookmark this page if you can’t finish it in one sitting.

What’s Your "Milkshake Moment"?

Van’s life after becoming an agent will sound familiar to you:

8am - 8pm, 7 hour a day.

In on the phone, out on the field.

So busy that he and his wife had to set up a rule:

Spend at least a day per week with the daughter - put a “D” in the date on the calendar.

Years flew by with Van struggling to make time for her young daughter.

One day, something interesting happened:

Van went out for lunch with a friend who is a very successful business owner, Shawn.

As they sat down, the waiter asked for their choice of drink.

Van scanned through the drink menu, paying special attention to the prices of each item:

"Ice water is fine. Thanks."

Eyes then fell on Shawn.

He skimmed through the drink menu; eyes didn’t even look to the right of the item names:

“Chocolate milkshake, please.”

As the waiter walked away, Van couldn’t keep his curiosity to himself: “why would you order chocolate milkshake?”

“What do you mean?”

“Why would you spend money on that kind of things?”

“Because I want to?”

That moment hit Van like Titanic hit iceberg.

The lunch went for two hours.

Van walked away with many things,

… but most importantly, he learned the ONE most important question for his business.

Take a guess:

"What’s the ONE most important question you must ask yourself everyday, as a real estate agent?"

(Hint: the answer to this question alone will transform your business.)

I doubt you’ll come close, but give a shot anyways. I will reveal the answer later, but first, let’s see if you’re familiar with this:

A while back ago, I wrote about the Hero’s Adventure for real estate agents, which resonated with a lot of agents.

(You’ll learn how to read the full story towards the end.)

You might not have realized it, but you are the Hero on your own Adventure, much like protagonists in Hollywood movies.

Frodo in Lord of the Rings.

Simba in The Lion King.

Luke Skywalker in Star Wars.

Neo in The Matrix.

Tony Stark in Ironman.

Jay Gatsby in The Great Gatsby.

P.T. Barnum in The Greatest Showman.

You go through the following stages of your Adventure:

Hero's Adventure for Real Estate Agents

Why do we embark on the Adventure to succeed as an agents?

Now pay special attention; this is important.

Surface reasons vary, but the core reason almost always comes down to one thing:
